What a great day at Ascot then its the Flat on Turf tomorrow! Great stuff! Ascot is a great place for jumping and its a great day out, even though there will be a good crowd they will be swamped in the huge stands.
Although the top action is at Ascot there is a really good race at Fontwell too, the 3.55 which has attracted some really good horses. I particularly like Warsaw Pact for the very in form Hobbs stable. A prolific winner on the flat he is equally consistent over obstacles and I do like his price. I would hope that Fin Vin De Leu (3.45 Southwell) makes up for the stable's Green Agenda getting beat yesterday. I still cant see how that one yesterday managed to lose that race!
I have a few on the list today. I have put up a real hot pot on the Viking Racing Line today that I am pretty excited about. We have also launched a new service today for a Northern based punter Barry Robson, who has put up a 7/1 shot. His line is Free for a trial period on 0844 811 2814, if you want to try.

Thanks for all the comments and emails. I have heard from many traders and would be traders. I am sticking at it, I really see trading as a great skill and I like it because it doesn't rely on anything but your own skill! Certainly you don't worry about the horse or the jockeys or the weather or anything other than trading the numbers! I told my daughter she should go the University of Betfair Trading rather than Leeds College of Arts!
I see that Dean McKeown has launched a tipping site where he claims that punters will benefit from "30 years of profit and experience". Nice to know that during his career as a jockey he was profiting from betting! What chance do we punters have in that context!
I was sent a video you make appreciate! The cricket season starts soon!

ReplyDeleteHi Carl
ReplyDeleteHow is the trading going - getting out of punter mindset is the tricky bit but once you crack that you will be away with it.
you hit the nail on the head john. I made £211 quid and lost half of it on a horse I backed!
ReplyDeleteLearnt the lesson!
Whatever happened to the camp fella who trained Viking Racing horses - in Malton? Must have been 2005 - we sold him two sh*thouses who never had a sound day in their life. Is he still training?
ReplyDeleteI still learn them - but mid week it doesnt bother me too much but i do like to enjoy the big meetings and not trade i feel this is the best policy for me - but you cant beat trading once you get the head right -
ReplyDeletegetting the head right they key to any form of punting / trading imo.
ReplyDeleteRobery gray was the trainer. not training at present.
Robert Grey - That's the fellah; couldn't get himself ready let alone a horse
