Its not getting any better! Every year the week before Cheltenham is poor, its like racing is starving itself before the indulgences of next week! Very moderate racing on offer once again today.
Jumping at Catterick and Fontwell is a world away from what we will be getting stuck into next week. The best bet over the sticks today, for me, is I'm Delilah (3.50) who opposes Twilight Dawn having finished nine lengths in front of it at Musselburgh. The price is a bit short but the form looks solid.
Lingfield is a hard track, at least for me, to judge but the chances of Chjimes in the 4.40 according to the form book are pretty strong. At the prices this is the best bet of the day, but once again not a day to be diving in!
