Irish Handicap Marks in UK

I read a story on the RacingPost Website:
IRISH trainers reacted angrily to the treatment of their leading Grand National hopes as they struggled to come to terms with the formula employed by the BHA's head of handicapping Phil Smith.
This is what has been happening to English runners going over to Ireland, so shut up and stop moaning! You never heard UK trainers moan, now its the other way round its a major affair! Made me smile!

  1. Carl. The Irish trainers love their horses to be well in before they turn up for the big meetings just so they can land a punt!

  2. Yes and British horses have been badly treated for years when going over there. I asked Phil Smith about it once and says they recommend not running in Ireland! I just wondered if this was 'payback'.
