Its racing's shop window today with The National, the hardest betting event of the year. I will be having a punt but not a serious tilt. I have already got a nice price about My Will, but this is a race where literally anything can happen.
We Say - Back My Will to Win the Grand National
There is a late move for Comply or Die, last year's winner, and it looks as though Pipe has been saving him for this one today. Form over the fences are crucial so last year's winner is worth an each way tilt. Black Appalachiai won over these fences in 2008 but I like Big Fella Thanks who is still a Novice but is pretty decent to say the least.
My bets today, To Win My Will, Each Way Big Fella Thanks. I love the National and will probably end up having a fiver of six of them!
Boyle Sports are offering an amazing offer today...
Each Way pays the FIRST SIX PLACES and you can get a FREE BET when you open an account today. Most bookmakers are still paying first four each way, a few five but Boyle Sports are paying first Six. This is a seriously good offer! Click the above advert to take advantage.
The Rest of Aintree...
The Aintree card is decent and as the jumps season comes to a close its a good day to go out on. Cape Tribulation (1.45) travelled nicely at Cheltenham but didn't get home. Aintree should suit him better and I like his chances but worry about the weight he has to give away.
The 2.15 is Aintree's Arkle Chase. A poor man's Arkle I have heard it unkindly referred to, but it is a good race today that's for sure. The last 14 winners of this race ran in The Arkle previously and all of those winners either finished in the first three or fell. The market principals cover both those bases today. Tatenen fell at the third fence and Kalahari King was an unlucky second at Cheltenham. Both are French bred horses who have a good record in the race and in truth there is not much between them. One of them will prevail of that I am sure. Call the tipping line for a free trial and my Bet of the day!

2.50 is The Aintree Hurdle where Al Elie has a great record, at Aintree on good ground he is four from four. You can not ignore that but it looks tough with decent competition but you can not write off the Aintree specialist.
The rest of the card looks very tough. All eyes are on Aintree today then we can get stuck in to the flat and the build up to Royal Ascot.
Good Luck today. I hope Comply or Die wins,
